The Gulf Mission Center is comprised of ten congregations and one group in the Deep South states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, fronting the Gulf of Mexico.  We are a community of people where friendships are established and individual ideas are valued.  We have a worldwide mission that values all cultures and celebrates the rich diversity of life.

The foundation of the restored Gospel has always been Jesus Christ.  The Community of Christ lifts up that calling ever so clearly, and sounds the call of mission.  He calls us to establish “the Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

The “cause of Zion” expresses our commitment to pursuing God’s Kingdom through the establishment of Christ centered communities in families, congregations, neighborhoods and cities throughout the world.  The Gulf Mission Center is committed to being a participant in that journey.

We are travelers on a journey, and in that journey the promise is that the spirit of a loving God will be with us.

Jesus said, “Come unto me…and I will give you rest…My burden is easy and my yoke is light…Trust me…for I am with you always….”
